Alzheimer’s disease is a disorder that affects a person’s brain that would lead to memory loss and the inability to think and function. In older adults, the condition is the most common cause of dementia, amounting to 60 to 80% of all cases. The disease would progress slowly until the affected individual is no longer capable of performing tasks and other activities.
The disease progresses into five stages: preclinical, mild cognitive impairment, mild dementia, moderate dementia, and severe dementia. The ability to judge, think, language, problem-solving, movement, personality is affected by the disease. The disease can take a toll not only to the affected individual but the whole family as well.

Isn’t it amazing? The older man talked because of the dog!
Dogs are always known to bring out the best in people. Probably it has something to do with how a dog interacts with us. A dog can love just about anyone. They can form a strong friendship with people and animals alike.
Years of studies have proved that owning a dog can help a person lower his blood pressure reduces stress and depression and increase his physical health. Why? If you own a dog, you need to walk your dog daily. Dog owners often hit this mark.
What’s more, playing or petting your dog will help your body produce happy hormones and decreases cortisol, a stress hormone. Hence depression and loneliness are a thing of the past. Owning a dog will not only give you the companionship you need but a loyal and accepting friend.
Dogs are, indeed, incredible creatures.
